A wonderful visit with moving water to soothe the soul. I hope they carry it within them to seek out the waters as grown ups. To slow down, ponder, and reconnect with roots. #nhlife #parenting #riverside #homeschoollife

I hope these virtual events continue in the future. As a positive change due to the pandemic, I’ve been able to attend some many webinars, trainings, and conferences that I wouldn’t be able to do in person. With 4 young children, one with complex and fragile medical needs requiring round the clock the care, traveling isn’t an option for me. And also a very limited budget that puts so many opportunities out of reach.
Snow day #reading A SENSE OF THE MYSTERIOUS: SCIENCE AND THE HUMAN SPIRIT by Alan Lightman. I started a picture book manuscript that highlights the work of someone who combines ART + SCIENCE to = incredible work. I started doubting myself that I should even be writing (why do we do that to ourselves?) So I took a break from writing and grabbed this book from the library on a whim. The first line in the book, “Ever since I was a young boy, my passions have been divided between science and art.”
